Where are you located?
We are located at the northeast corner of Germantown Parkway and
Dexter between Rite Aid and the Life Church. The address is 1790
N. Germantown Pkwy. Suite #3. Just look for the big SING sign
on a brick building.
Do I need any prior experience?
Absolutely not! Our clientele includes beginners, professionals
and everything in between. Those who are interested should contact
us at 751-SING and we'll help you in deciding the next step.
What do I wear?
Obviously, for voice lessons there is no restriction when it comes
to dress. When it comes to dance, each class requires a specific
style of footwear. Beyond that, the dress code is more flexible.
The specifics will be given at the time of sign up.
I'm interested in group lessons,
but don't think I'm ready. Can I take both private and group lessons?
Of course! We understand everyone has different needs. We would
be happy to meet you, discuss what your needs are, and help decide
the best path for you.
Is there a discount for people
who take more than one class (or multiple siblings)?
Whether there is one student taking multiple classes, a parent
and child getting instruction, or multiple siblings involved,
there will be a 10% discount given to each sign up after the first.
I have a medical condition. Is it
safe to take dance?
Because dance is a form of exercise, it has been shown to improve
health by providing increased endurance, cardiovascular strength,
and stress relief. However, one should always check with their
doctor before starting any type of exercise program.
What is your policy on missed lessons?
We strongly urge our clients not to miss any lessons as either
the group or their personal progress will suffer. We understand
that at times circumstances prevent you from being able to come.
However, because we set aside time for you regardless as to whether
you are present or not, it is studio policy is not to offer make
up lessons, refunds, or credits. It is at the teacher's discretion
to offer make-ups pending their availability in extreme cases.
When it comes to holidays, snow
days, and the like, how do we know if the studio is open?
Sing Studios follows the Shelby County School System in observing
holidays, snow days, and breaks (excluding Christmas and Summer).
What ages do you teach?
Dance begins at age 2 and Voice begins at age 6. There is no cut
off age for either.
